2009 OESA N.A. OEM Production P.O. Terms and Conditions Comparative Analysis
 
OESA and Butzel Long have partnered to develop the 2009 Comparative Analysis, which compares the terms and conditions of BMW, Chrysler, Daimler, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, VW/Audi as well as the OESA Model Terms and Conditions. The 2009 version updates and enhances the original OESA Terms and Conditions Comparative Analysis published in May 2002 and revised in 2004 and again in 2008.

The Comparative Analysis includes a commentary section on each provision that will help suppliers understand the OEM differences in approach, and interpret the language and intent of various OEM terms.

2009 Legislative and Regulatory Issue Book
 
The Washington office of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) is pleased to present you with the supplier industry’s Legislative and Regulatory Issue Book for 2009. The Issue Book is the culmination of a process of open dialogue among all market segment association members, beginning with a member survey, with input from the MEMA and market segment association boards as well as the Government Affairs Committee.


Reducing Warranty Expense by Managing the Interfaces -- Conference Proceedings and Council Reports
 

OESA presents "Reducing Warranty Expense by Managing the Interfaces" made available following a one-day conference with five individual presentations and two panel discussions. The conference focused on improving warranty expense through better management of the supplier-to-supplier, supplier-to-vehicle manufacturer, and supplier-to-dealer interfaces. The conference proceedings include session presentations, the "Suppliers Practical Guide to Warranty Reduction" and the "OESA/CLEPA Preferred Practices for Warranty Analysis and Management."

The OESA Warranty Management Council produced the "Suppliers Practical Guide to Warranty Reduction" to provide suppliers with a comprehensive process to reduce warranty expense and improve customer satisfaction. In addition, working with the European Association of Automotive Suppliers, CLEPA, the council has produced a set of preferred practices for warranty analysis and management.

"Reducing Warranty Expense by Managing the Interfaces" includes both hard copy and CD formats.

OESA members can purchase the publication for $100 and $175 for non-members.

Model Terms and Conditions
 

OESA produced a document representing a fair and balanced relationship between the buyer and seller that addresses difficult industry issues, such as intellectual property and warranty, in a sensible and equitable manner for all parties. OESA encourages suppliers to adopt the model terms and conditions, given the constraints of customer contract terms and conditions.
